Tarot ATC cards

Here are the cards I did for another swap on atcards. The sun and moon ones came first and I was thinking about doing the world to go along but the idea of the bunny empress and kitty emperor was just too much fun to not do. I can't wait to get to see what the swap partners did!

Valentine ATCs

Did these last night after finding out my swap partners for a V-day themed swap on craftster. I did them after the theme of "My Bunny Valentine". I hope my partners like them!

Shoes

So I finished these shoes today - worked on them over the weekend.  They are bittersweet in that they were the last pair clearanced at Target so no more painting ballet shoes until I can find some more cheap fiber ones.  They were originally a leopard printed velvet material that I painted using a pink/gold metallic fabric paint and sharpies for the decoration.  So excited to wear them!

Monty Python ATCs

Just totally finished my ATCs for the Monty Python swap. I like holy hand grenade one the best. I tried something different with the Spanish Inquisition one, I hope no one gets upset that I tried a little bit of a different format. Now I joined a tarot card swap. I already finished one so I have three more to go, I will post those later!

Long time, no craft

So we had our beautiful baby girl 12/13. It has been a trying five weeks seeing that we are brand new to this parenting thing. But we have successfully kept her alive this long. But during all this I obviously haven't had too much time to craft, seeing that just taking a shower seems like a luxury. However this past week the baby has started sleeping more and I have had a chance to do some things. Here are a few ATC cards that I made, I have this new little character I created that I am fond of:





I also found the site ATCards.com whch I am taking part of a Monty Python themed swap. Last but not least I am working on making a couple of hand puppets from some felt I made with some thrift store sweaters. The baby seems to get a kick out of the one puppet we received as a gift so hopefully she will like these ones as well. It just feels good to get back to creative time again.

too much time on my hands

So this is what I did on Sunday to combat my pure boredom.  I recently discovered through craftster.com artist trading cards (ATCs) which are highly addictive.  Basically the concept is to create little 3 1/2" by 2 1/2" works to trade with other artists/crafters.  I went to create one and hours later came up for breath and had six done.  I am going to post them later to trade on craftster but I thought it might be best to wait until after baby comes.  Here they are:








So right now it is 2:30 in the morning, I think I am going to try reconstructing a sweatshirt that I am not so partial to see if I can make into some I like more.

First Post

So it is 10 in the morning and I haven't been to bed yet. But that could be that I slept all day yesterday. I will look back on this I am sure and laugh, but I am over due for this baby to come out and I just can't sleep at night no matter what I do. So I craft. And since I have baby on the brain, what else could I do but put some additional touches to some plain onesies that we have laying about. So here they are, the first one I did was the owl using some felt and buttons. Then I painted the octopus and the two pandas. The pink panda was first but I like how the green panda came out better.





Sorry the pics are dark, I tried with the flash but they were just not coming out. Well if I don't go into labor today/tonight, we shall see what else I come up with!
